After the rain, the sky cleared up, and the sun was behind the clouds, whose rays were coming down from between them. In order to stimulate students' love of literature, and feel the charm of words in the lyrics, at 4 P.M. on 12th May, the Duxiu Literature Society of Anqing Foreign Language School held a literature lecture entitled ‘the Secret of Words Hidden in Glaze’ in the lecture hall. The keynote speaker was teacher Liu Yao. In attendance were Principal Assistant Hu Qilin, Director Zhang Li, Director Sun Yijun and all the teachers and students of the literature club.
Initially, with a soft and soothing song ‘Blue and White Porcelain’, teacher Liu Yao brought all the teachers and students into a beautiful picture: After a heavy rain, the garden was green and the air was full of moist water. The crystal rain was rolling on the banana leaf, thus making this scene the most poetic. However, the most poetic was the rusted copper ring still inlaid on the door after weathering and rain.
Furthermore, with words as the carrier, Liu Yao shared with the students the thinking thread of the creation, and explained how a wonderful word was conceived and produced, such as how to choose words; what kind of artistic conception and mood could be caused by different words as well as how to get the most meaning out of the least number of words to let the strongest emotional resonance stay in each person's heart.
Finally, Liu Yao concluded that words are sometimes in the heart. Therefore, we should learn to record and learn to create.
In summary, this lecture made the students understand the connection between literary creation and poetic painting, which not only stimulated their enthusiasm for writing, but also benefited all the teachers and students  a lot.
